About the club
We've been Baruch's home for gaming since 2011. Here's where we came from, and who keeps it running.
How we got here
The club was founded in 2011 by a group of League of Legends players, and it has been Baruch's home for gaming ever since. Today it runs two tracks that feed each other: casual events on campus and on Discord, and competitive rosters in seven titles.
The competitive program has results to show for it. Baruch teams won the Collegiate Starleague in 2017 and 2018, and in 2025 the VALORANT roster won the Battle of the Boroughs bracket at New York City's first Video Game Festival, beating six other CUNY schools. The League of Legends team won its CLOL division and the RSAA championship in the same season.
The casual side hosts in-person events in the Lexington Building throughout the semester: tournaments, game nights, and the annual Game Day convention, plus online events on the Discord, which has over 1,600 members. All of it is organized by student volunteers: the e-board and staff across events, IT, marketing, and graphics. If you'd like to help run things, there's a role for that too.
Who runs it
The e-board and staff are all students. Say hi at any event.
Help run it
All of it gets done by the five committees below, and any Baruch student can join one. Filling out the form takes a few minutes.
- GraphicsDesigns the flyers, banners, and social graphics for everything the club runs.
- ITHandles the tech at events and keeps this website running.
- EventsPlans the game nights, tournaments, and Game Day, then runs them on the day.
- Marketing & MediaRuns the social accounts and covers events on camera.
- SecretaryWrites the weekly email, takes notes at meetings, and sets up co-sponsorships with other orgs.
Want to get involved?
Whether you want to compete, help run events, or just find people to play with, the Discord is the front door.
